today was an EXCITING DAY!!

it was your wedding day!

you’re dressed in the most beautiful clothes and have yourself dressed up

everyone is buzzing around you, preparing and laughing and drinking wine

“you look stunning,” zhengting says from behind you. he was the best man of the wedding - best friends with your partner.

“thank you,” you smile, strainghtening out his tie. “did you memeorize your speech?” you raise an eyebrow

he scrunches his nose. “i decided to just wing it. i mean, the speech was good but it felt too robotic. the best things come from the heart, don’t they?”

“zhengting,” you frown.

“don’t you worry,” he smiles. “i’ll be whole heartedly honest and true.”

you’re about to say something else when wenjun (the wedding director) comes in and starts ushering everyone around

“justin, do you have the rings?”

“you said you would support me!” you frown, almost on the verge of tears. “how could you do this to me?!”

wenjun the wedding planner is going to pass out

“i can explain,” zhengting smiles, walking up cooly. “justin, if you could please hand this usb to the dj in the back and ask him to play the slideshow.”

so he does and youre mortified at how the yuehua boys could do this to you on your special day

“y/n, please don’t marry this person. they are a liar and have been cheating on you for the past two months. this slideshow is all of the evidence we have put together to show you why we think you deserve better!”

and zhengting just goes off

he has pictures of your partner with another person, kissing and holding hands

he even has text messages between him and your partner where ghey threatened zhengting not to tell

“y/n, im sorry i had to break it to you this way, on your wedding day but i felt like this was my last resort. you wouldn’t listen to me and i-“ he sighs when he sees how heartbroken you are. “y/n, i’ve loved you since i was 18. i loved you so much that i almost let you go be with someone else if that meant you would be happy.”

“what are you saying?” you gasp.

“i know this is probably a bad time but will you marry me?”

everyone (besides the yuehua clan) gasps

you had to admit, there was a part of you that fell in love with zhengting a long time ago

he was everything you wanted but he was too busy chasing his dreams and you felt as though you couldn’t wait for him

so you just gave up

so hearing this news made you forget about your, now, ex, who has since retreated after being exposed

“y/n,” justin whispers from beside you. “say yes. common, you always said that if there was one person you could see yourself with for the rest of your life, it would be someone like zhengting. well now you can actually have him and not some knock off!”

how is justin just going to expose you like that on your wedding day?!

“you said that?” zhengting grins

“we don’t have to get married today but i know you feel the same way i do,” he whispers, holding your hands. “what do you say?”
